MISSOULA - Wolfpack soccer is no longer perfect.

The Glacier High School soccer teams suffered their first losses Thursday, dropping a Western AA doubleheader at Missoula Sentinel.

The Wolfpack boys lost 3-1 before the girls fell 4-0 in a game that was close until the final minutes. Both squads are now 1-1 on the season after opening with victories against Missoula Big Sky on Tuesday.

Glacier hosts Helena High on Sept. 8 in a conference doubleheader at Kidsport Complex. The boys play at 11 a.m., followed by the girls at 1 p.m.

Zane Reneau and Charlie Wellert scored first-half goals to give Sentinel a 2-0 lead.

Wellert added another goal in the 46th minute before Jared Rice put Glacier on the board.

Standing at the top of the 18-yard mark, Rice took a cross from Mark Fallon and made one touch before squeezing the ball into the left side of the net.

Goalkeeper Kasey Haugan made 22 saves as Sentinel out-shot the Wolfpack 30-8.

"He played great and certainly kept us in the game," Glacier coach Ryan O'Rourke said. "He made a lot of great saves. He was certainly the man of the match."

According to O'Rourke, Glacier battled well, but its lack of size and experience showed.
