A public meeting on county roads will be Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. in the Earl Bennett Building conference room in Kalispell.

The county Roads Advisory Committee, road department workers, County Administrator Mike Pence and Public Works Director Dave Prunty will listen to ideas, concerns and suggestions from the public about county roads issues.

County commissioners also may attend the meeting.

"This is a big issue," Prunty said. "This is a chance for the citizens to come in and for us to listen."

The meeting is solely for the purpose of public comment. No official action will be taken.

At an earlier meeting on Dec. 13, the roads committee will determine potential rules for the length of comment by each citizen or group at the Dec. 18 meeting.

The roads committee meets at 5 p.m. at the landfill meeting room on Dec. 13.
