Glacier hands out gridiron awards

The Glacier High School football team dished out year-end awards to cap its inaugural season.

Quarterback Shay Smithwick Hann was named Offensive MVP, while lineman Kieran Hagan picked up Defensive MVP honors, and Taylor Graham was tabbed Special Teams MVP.

Smithwick-Hann completed 50 percent of his passes for 1,348 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for two scores.

Hagan recorded 57 tackles, including six for losses. He also broke up a pass and recovered a fumble.

Graham returned 32 kickoffs for 540 yards, along with three punts for 22 yards. He also was the team's kicker, booting a field goal and all eight of his PAT attempts.

Running back Wiley Fusaro earned the Wolf Award.

Wide receiver/defensive back Connor Fuller took home the Alpha-Dog Award.

Joe Osborne was named Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year, while Freddie Blodnick earned the same honor on defense.

Fuller also earned the Offensive Award, as voted upon by coaches, while linebacker Alec Tuman picked up the Defensive Award.

Lineman Dan Gilbert was named Most Improved Offensive Player, and linebacker Taylor Hart was tabbed Most Improved Defensive Player.

Linebacker/offensive lineman Garrett Conners was named Weight Room MVP.

Smithwick-Hann and defensive back Kramer Wilson were voted team captains.
