Kalispell police

Concerned parents came to the Kalispell police station because their son told them he was in protective custody after receiving death threats. They were told the department doesn't even have protective custody.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol during a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue East. Officers believed the car's occupants may have contributed to some vandalism involving paintballs. Instead they found alcohol, some marijuana and a pipe.

A First Avenue East resident received harassing and disparaging phone messages.

A Birchwood Court man threw the Christmas tree during an argument with his wife. He spent the night somewhere else.

A man with injuries on his face and head was seen crawling down First Avenue West. He refused medical treatment, so officers at least gave him a ride home.

A laptop computer was found in an alley off Third Avenue East.

Dogs were chasing cars on Ninth Avenue East North.

A car on Northridge Drive hit a garbage can and then took out a mailbox.

Someone tried to pass off a fake $20 bill at a North Main Street casino.
