Pierce 'Bud' Reeves, 77

Pierce "Bud" Reeves, 77, passed away after a long illness of diabetes and heart complications on Dec. 25, 2007, Christmas Day.

Bud was born in Los Angeles. He attended high school in Glendale, Calif., where he played football. After he finished high school he enlisted in the Air Force and served for several years.

He was the owner and operator of an RV and van repair shop in Northern California for many years before moving to Montana.

Bud married Synneve "Sunny" Reeves on July 2, 1977, in Lakeside. He and Sunny owned a woodworking and crafts business in Kalispell until their retirement.

Bud was an avid reader, football fan, craftsman and friend to many. He many stories to tell and didn't seem to have a problem finding a good listener. With his love of reading he could always be found with his favorite western-themed paperbacks at hand. He loved to travel and spend time with his wife, Synneve.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sunny; his five children, Gary Reeves of Nevada, David Reeves of Louisiana, Steve and Julie Reeves of Boston, Maria Edwards of Oklahoma, and Larry Reeves of California; nephew, Bobbie Lamprecht, of Butte; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his four stepchildren, Yevon and Dan Norman with grandson, Austin of Missoula, and granddaughter, Pandora Gray of Georgia, Ron Beams of Ronan with grandson, Andrew Kirk, Charlene and David Madieros with grandchildren, Matt and Emily of Kalispell; and numerous nieces, nephews and family friends.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 28, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. A ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Wild officiating. Burial will take place at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery after the ceremony.

In lieu of flowers if anyone would like to help with donations to offset medical and funeral costs, they can be made to his surviving wife, Synneve Reeves, at 1045 Conrad Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901.
