EUREKA - Whitefish used a 10-0 run to start the game to knock off Eureka 46-36 Thursday in Northwestern A boys basketball action.

Whitefish (6-9, 5-4) led 28-16 at the half and never looked back.

"We shot just 25 percent for the game," said Eureka coach Eric Stang.

"They (Bulldogs) played hard defense, great defense. We got some good looks, couldn't knock them down.

"We didn't get many second opportunities," Stang added.

"They did a good job of limiting us to one shot attempt each possession."

Eureka managed to close the gap to six points once in the fourth quarter, but that was as close as the Lions would get.

Aaron Tkachyk and Colt Idol shared scoring honors for the victors with 11 points each. Jamie Clogg followed with 10.

Isiah Linnell topped Eureka (12-2, 8-2) with 11 points. He also had seven rebounds, three blocks and four steals.
