Erma Louease Pewitt, 77

Erma Louease Pewitt, 77, of Kalispell, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. She was born on March 19, 1929, at Salem, Mo., the daughter of Columbus Edward and Anna (Hoodenpyle) Stagner. Erma grew up on a farm near Salem, Mo.

On December 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to Maurice Pewitt at Salem. She and Maurice bought their own farm nearby after they married. After their three sons were born, they moved into Salem. In 1960 they moved to Mesa, Ariz. where they lived until Maurice's death. In 1999 Erma moved to Kalispell to live with her son, Dennis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Pewitt; and a grandson, Stephen Pewitt.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Pewitt and wife, Linda, of Phoenix, Ariz., Dennis Pewitt and wife, Dorothy, and Lennis Pewitt and wife, Cheryl, all of Kalispell; and 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Erma will be on at 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, at Johnson Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Paul Arends officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Dryfork Cemetery in Salem, Mo. at a later date.
