Watch out for drunken drivers

Kalispell police received a report of possible drunken driving from a fast-food restaurant, where the drive-through window employee had spotted open alcohol containers in a man's pickup. The pickup parked, and police proceeded to pepper him with probing questions until he peed in the interview room in their presence. Then they arrested him on two counts of disorderly conduct, probation violation and criminal mischief.

Several packages delivered to a home on Second Avenue East-North disappeared from the front porch. The recipient found the boxes sans contents in the alley behind her house.

After a boy stole a muffin from a coffee shop and headed for a hardware store, a woman there gave him a dollar so he could go back and pay for it. Instead, he took the dollar and his muffin and took off down the street.

When police arrived at Woodland Park, they saw neither the man in the military jacket nor the tree he reportedly set on fire.
