There was a man with a baseball cap, a woman in a camouflage jacket and an X-box. The man and woman took off running when Wal-Mart's theft alarm sounded. Not sure whether the Xbox went with them as the Ford pickup headed east on U.S. 2.

A truck on U.S. 2 near Marion crashed into somebody's front yard and landed on its side Sunday evening, but nobody was injured. Other slide-ins, rollovers and crashes kept Flathead County sheriff's deputies and the Highway Patrol busy throughout the night's snow and wind.

A vehicle hit a black German shepherd on Montana 35 near Many Lakes, then the driver went with it to the shelter. The dog was wearing a collar with phone number and vaccination information.

Deputies transferred a report of a runaway juvenile to Lake County, where the 14-year-old boy lives.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested for assault and a probation violation after she reported broke another woman's nose in a fight at the Silver Bullet Bar.

Two boys who were running down Shady Lane at 1 a.m. got a ride with deputies back to their parents.

A deputy's car hit a deer near McWenneger Slough just before 3 a.m.

A man was jailed after he reportedly stole checks then bounced some, one that was used to buy a car and pay rent.

Bicycling the wrong direction on U.S. 2 near Wal-Mart caused passers-by enough concern to prompt at least two calls.

Shooting along the road near Stillwater State Park was turned over to Montana Fish and Game for investigation.
