Northwestern A boys divisional starts Thursday

The Northwestern A divisional boys basketball tournament gets under way Thursday at Whitefish High School.

Up for grabs are two seeds for the Class A state tournament, which takes place March 8-10 in Belgrade.

Regular-season champ and two-time defending state champion Columbia Falls has an opening-round bye.

Thursday's action follows:

 4 p.m. - Ronan vs. Libby

 6 p.m. - Whitefish vs. Polson

 8 p.m. - Eureka vs. Bigfork

Columbia Falls will play the Ronan/Libby winner on Friday at 8 p.m. in a semifinal contest.

The other Friday semifinal game will take place at 6 p.m. with the Whitefish/Polson and Eureka/Bigfork winners playing.

The consolation final is 6 p.m. Saturday with the title game to follow.
