Kalispell

Kalispell police fielded a call of broken windows and body damage to several cars overnight at Eisinger Motors.

The street department had put in a work order to fill the 8- or 10-inch-deep pothole at the corner of East Oregon and North Main. Swerving cars and threatened tires will be grateful.

A white German shepherd, with collar and tags, was picked up and taken to the shelter Wednesday morning after being reported several times in traffic and at businesses.

General mayhem in Kalispell included e-mail threats, barking dogs, burnt food in a microwave and a yelling match between a man and woman. On East Idaho, two people screaming at each other were a boyfriend and girlfriend who had just broken up.

It started as a theft of services complaint at Sawbuck Saloon, but ended in a DUI arrest of a 50-year-old driver.

Alcohol allegedly was the driver's fuel when a truck ran into the fence at Office Max, then the driver tried to leave.

Another report came in Wednesday, about cruelty to the birds snagged and left to die in the net over Home Depot's entrance.
