The Flathead County Sheriff's Office got a report Thursday evening of a woman allegedly stealing $200 worth of merchandise from Shopko. She escaped after running across the parking lot toward U.S. 2.

A Whitefish Stage Road resident reported a theft that occurred in the past couple weeks. A saddle, toolbox and other items apparently were stolen from a garage.

A car reportedly went over an embankment on Meridian Road, coming to a stop in the front yard of a residence. There were no reported injuries.

A vehicle was reported being upside down early Thursday off U.S. 93 just south of Whitefish, and again, there were no injured people at the scene.
