When a disturbance was reported in Evergreen, deputies discovered two underage girls drinking. Both were arrested for minor in possession; one had a blood-alcohol content of 0.246 percent.

Until June 17, the Marion landfill had been open 24 hours a day. Someone perhaps was unaware the dump is now closed after 7 p.m.; a vehicle ran into and destroyed the gates, which were valued at $500.

The low-flying aircraft over Rogers Lake was reported to the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Homeland Security. It turned out to be novice pilots practicing their skills in a rented helicopter.
