Police arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence, careless driving and driving without liability insurance after he was involved in an accident Friday afternoon.

A traffic stop on U.S. 93 North resulted in two arrests on multiple charges. One 18-year-old woman was ticketed in connection with unlawful transactions with a child, open container, driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance and eluding a police officer. The female passenger, also 18, was ticketed in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia and minor in possession.

Some drivers had to avoid branches that had blown into the street Friday night. Others had to avoid four youths dressed in black lying in the middle of Main Street.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of unlawful transactions with a child at Motel 6. His 18-year-old companion was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer and minor in possession.

After the intoxicated man passed out in the bushes, police tried to take him home. When he couldn't figure out where he lived, officers took him to the police station lobby to sit until he could remember.

Several cars on Eighth Avenue East had "inappropriate writing" on them, mostly on the windows. Officers said it will wash off.

A Flathead Health and Fitness employee found the front door shattered when she arrived at work Saturday morning.
