Sansaver throws no-hitter for Lakers

BOZEMAN - The Kalispell Lakers (A) finished play at the Howard Rein Memorial Tournament on Sunday on a high note as Ben Sansaver threw a no-hitter in an 11-3 victory over the Billings Cardinals.

Sansaver struck out six Billings hitters and issued five walks.

That gave the Lakers a fifth-place finish in the tournament.

Kalispell had 10 hits in the contest. Sansaver, Zach Brosten and Austin Roehl all had two hits apiece for the Lakers.

Bozeman edged Lethbridge 7-6 in the championship game while the Butte Muckers downed Missoula Mavs (A) 7-4 in the battle for third place.

The Lakers are back in action Tuesday hosting the Great Falls Sparkies, 3 p.m., for a doubleheader.
