Lakers win final 2 games of tourney

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Kalispell Lakers (AA) finished the 4th of July Tournament on a high note Saturday, posting two victories in the American Legion baseball tournament.

Tyler Reichhoff threw a 2-hitter as the Lakers blanked Wood River of Sun Valley, Idaho, 2-0 in their tournament finale.

Reichhoff issued just two walks and fanned six in the seven-inning game.

John White, 2-for-3, doubled for the Lakers while Reichhoff and Tucker Hankinson both had RBIs.

Earlier in the day, the Lakers rallied past the Bethel Huskies of Tacoma, Wash., 11-8. The Huskies led 8-0 after three innings of play, but the Lakers scored eight runs in the fourth inning and added three more in the fifth.

The Lakers opened the tournament dropping three straight games.

Kalispell is back in action Tuesday at the Sapa Johnsrud Memorial Tournament.
