Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 41-year-old man for partner assault after he allegedly hit his wife in the head with a stick. She was transported to North Valley Hospital.

Man uses stick instead of words

A 17-year-old girl told deputies she was the victim of a sexual assault. They forwarded the investigation to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

A man and a woman tried to walk out of a Martin City business on U.S. 2 with an armload of unpaid-for merchandise. When an employee called after them to stop, the pair dropped the goods and ran.

Deputies received calls about two possible drunken drivers - one in a white Ford and another in a Chevrolet Suburban - at the Old Steel Bridge, less than 10 minutes apart.
