WHITEFISH - The Glacier Twins ran into a hot Medicine Hat squad Sunday as the Monarchs swept an American Legion AA doubleheader, 16-9 and 13-0.

The losses drop the Twins to 7-11 in league action with six games remaining.

"They have won seven straight," said Glacier coach Jarod Grubb of the Monarchs.

"They have been swinging some hot bats."

The Monarchs ripped 18 hits in the opener and had eight in the second game.

Glacier had 11 hits in the first game.

"Brad Bell and Scott Yogodzinski are swinging it really well," said Grubb.

"Brad Nielsen hasn't pitched much, but did a good job of coming in and not allowing any runs in the second game."

Glacier hosts the Kalispell Lakers on Tuesday, 7 p.m.
