Frank Frederick Westphal, 80
Frank Frederick Westphal, 80, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell. He was born Sept. 2, 1926, in Greenville, Ind., to Anna and Roy Westphal.
Frank served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
He and his wife, Idella "Jo" (Stearns) were united in marriage on March 29, 1960, in California. They lived in the Flathead Valley their entire married life.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Jo.
He is survived by their children, Terry Westphal and wife, Alma, of the Flathead Valley, Reginald Westphal, and wife, Debora, of Pueblo, Colo.; Roxanne Meise, and husband, Donny, of Sauk City, Wis., Raymond Westphal, and wife, Mercy, of Frisco, Texas; Calvin Westphal, and wife, Debbie, of Kalispell; and Kathy Loftis, and husband, Marvin, of Kalispell; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Bob, George and John.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the Fairview Chapel on Middle Road, east of Kalispell on Montana 35. Military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans of the Flathead at the graveside following the service at the Fairview Cemetery.

Idella "Jo" Westphal, 77
Idella "Jo" Westphal passed away in Sept. 14, 2002, at her residence in Kalispell. She was born March 19, 1925, to Anna and Roscoe Stearns in Osage, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Boyd Stearns.
In addition to her children, Jo is also survived by her brother, Warren Stearns of Osage.
Jo was a wonderful mother and cook, and loved to sew.
Jo's ashes will be interred with her husband Frank's on June 16.
