Missing movie card causes melee

A resident of Fairway Boulevard contacted police when the box that was supposed to have a new laptop computer arrived but weighed only a few pounds. It appeared to have been opened and resealed in transit.

A silent burglar alarm activated Monday at Wells Fargo Bank grabbed officers' attention. However, the excitement was traced to a cut fiber optic line which caused the bank numerous headaches. A child called Kalispell police to report he couldn't wake up his mother. The mother claimed she was recovering from the flu but gave officers an incorrect address on Liberty Street. When officers tracked her down, she was less than impressed with their resourcefulness. She had a bad attitude and refused to cooperate. An investigation revealed she had a history of drug use. They checked on the welfare of the child.

Cenex employees had an unpleasant morning Monday when they found someone had broken their window sometime over the weekend.

A trusting resident on Sixth Avenue East learned a difficult lesson when she left her purse in her unlocked car. A thief took the multi-colored bag with hearts all over it, along with her wallet containing her debit card, several credit cards, $60 and her razor cell phone in a pink case.

On Sunday, a caller told police a male friend pulled a gun on him. It occurred in the county sheriff's jurisdiction and was turned over to them for investigation.

Police were called to the West Idaho Town Pump when an employee was allegedly caught with drugs in the bathroom.

An observant homeowner called Kalispell police after noticing a man in an orange sweatshirt and baseball cap trying front doors and vehicle doors then jumping into the shadows on Pheasant Run late Sunday. He was gone when officers arrived.

Neighbors on Fourth Avenue West can expect some quieter times ahead. A resident's band equipment was reported missing on Sunday.

Police removed a rowdy person from Janelli's Deli Sunday. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing a peace officer.

A concerned citizen called police Sunday after a white sports car allegedly whizzed by the hospital emergency room on Sunnyview Lane in Kalispell.
