A resident of Fairway Boulevard contacted police when the box that was supposed to have a new laptop computer arrived but weighed only a few pounds. It appeared to have been opened and resealed in transit.
A silent burglar alarm activated Monday at Wells Fargo Bank grabbed officers' attention. However, the excitement was traced to a cut fiber optic line which caused the bank numerous headaches. When officers tracked her down, she was less than impressed with their resourcefulness. She had a bad attitude and refused to cooperate. An investigation revealed she had a history of drug use. They checked on the welfare of the child.

A trusting resident on Sixth Avenue East learned a difficult lesson when she left her purse in her unlocked car. A thief took the multi-colored bag with hearts all over it, along with her wallet containing her debit card, several credit cards, $60 and her razor cell phone in a pink case.
