Iverson to compete in Junior America's Cup

BOZEMAN - Larry Iverson of Kalispell has qualified for the Montana golf team that will compete in the Junior America's Cup, July 31-Aug. 2 in San Diego
Iverson finished fourth, 70-75-145, on Tuesday at the Montana State Junior Golf Championships at Valley View Golf Club.
Par is 70.
The top four overall boys' and girls' scores from the 14-17 age bracket earned spots on the state teams that will compete in the cup.
The Junior America's Cup for girls is July 31-Aug. 2 in Portland, Ore.
Iverson will also represent Montana in the Montana-Alberta Cup.
Iverson won a five-hole playoff with James Williams of Seeley Lake, 70-75-145, to finish fourth.
Reed Platke of Columbia Falls, 73-78-151, finished second in the 13-and-Under division. Platke won a tiebreaker with Trevin McNeil of Billings, 74-77-151.
In girls' play, Chelsea Ray of Whitefish finished fifth, 92-81-173.
