His cell phone disconnected after the man told Flathead County Sheriff's dispatchers his ex-wife hit him in the face. After dispatchers tried several times to call him back, they transferred the call to Kalispell police, who went to the Glenwood Drive address. Officers couldn't find the caller, and the downstairs neighbor didn't remember hearing a disturbance.

The girl who showed up at a Kokanee Drive residence in Columbia Falls said she'd just been chased through the woods by a strange man wearing black face paint. As she was running, she saw a tent, leading her to believe the man is camped there.

A vicious dog in Lakeside reportedly attacked another, sending the second dog straight to surgery.

A cat has reportedly spent the last two days atop a roof.

A Somers man said his neighbor threatened to cut him up with a skillsaw.

Paintballs were reported on a house and camper on Well View Lane in Kalispell, mailboxes on Kelley Road in Columbia Falls and a truck at Napa Auto Parts in Columbia Falls. In the latter incident, the truck owner caught the suspected shooters.

A boy turned violent when he was caught shoplifting at Super 1 Foods. Deputies released him to his mother.
