Get your 'butt' off my lawn

Kalispell police now have the offending metal letters in custody. On Friday morning, they had spelled out "butthead" on the Heritage Place lawn.

Police arrested a man for disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and obstructing a peace officer after an incident near Rosauers at U.S. 93 Thursday evening. His vehicle received a lot of damage when it high-centered. Police stopped to check it out, and discovered knives and a nunchaku in the vehicle - but he said it was a tool used for clearing trails.

The dad promised to talk with the school resource officer Friday morning about the incident at Flathead High in which he said his son was assaulted with a knife. First, though, he was taking him for a tetanus shot.

A dry-cleaner reported a fuss that arose a few weeks back when a customer accused them of stealing an expensive jacket. It arose now because the same customer brought in more clothing but gave a different name.

A man was charged with partner or family member assault Friday afternoon after his girlfriend said he beat her up.
