Turkey accused of 'fowl' play on River Road

The unsuspecting man on River Road was Tom's target - but the gobbler didn't live to tell the tale. The victor called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office when he was forced to kill the wild turkey that attacked him.

Residents on Farm to Market worried when they heard a gunshot Friday night: They'd been threatened earlier.

Two men with flashlights ran off toward the neighbor's house after poking around a Middle Road home. The residents wondered if it might be the neighbor, against whom they have a restraining order.

A bike in the middle of Foys Lake Road near the Lakeshore Heights entrance led to suspicions that someone might be hurt. No one answered when the caller yelled, but deputies were asked to do a more thorough search.

He'd been in the parking lot of the Glacier Center in Coram for six hours, moving his car to different areas of the lot. He was only sleeping, but deputies asked him to find somewhere else to doze.

A woman wanted on a couple of warrants drank Pine Sol on top of alcohol. She was taken to the hospital, then to jail. The man who called for help also had a warrant, so he joined her there.

A Hungry Horse man called 911 when another man reportedly threatened to break his neck. The man already hit someone else, he said. When a deputy arrived, he found five men in the house. They were all sent on their way.

Attempted burglaries were reported on Rhodes Draw and in Marion.

A woman on Cobbler Village Road found all four tires flat on her vehicle Saturday morning. She suspects her neighbor, with whom she's feuding over a road easement.

The 24-year-old man said he had no idea who he was when he wandered into a Sixth Street residence in Whitefish around 3 a.m. Saturday. He was escorted to the police department.
