Flathead County sheriff's deputies helped defuse a family disturbance in Hungry Horse, where a 16-year-old daughter reportedly hit her mother in the head. The daughter was not to be in the house so the mother started throwing out the daughter's clothes, the report said, prompting the altercation. The mother went to the hospital and the daughter stayed elsewhere for the night.

A man worried about his 18-year-old son's crushed eye socket, which required surgery, wanted to talk to a deputy about the Saturday night assault. The victim didn't want to pursue charges.

A bear cub in Olney came out of the tree but was too weak to crawl into the trap left by Fish and Game, and the mother hadn't been around. Fish and Game workers handled the call.
