Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County sheriff's deputies went to Hungry Horse Boulevard where a Great Falls man reportedly grabbed a woman by the neck, then stood outside pounding on the window because he wanted his wallet back. He took off up the highway, but deputies finally found the subject back at the Dam Town Tavern.

Deputies arrested a man after he threatened his girlfriend and her mother with a club at the mother and father's home in Coram at 2 a.m. He also was trying to take the baby he apparently fathered with the girlfriend. He has been a problem in the past, too, the girl's mother said.

There was a theory, but no hard answers as to why the young man driving the Ford Taurus stuffed a wad of something into his pocket and flashed money at another driver passing by.

Speeding and shooting off fireworks drew a group of youngsters and a talking-to from a deputy.

Play your music that loud again, the Hungry Horse trailer resident was told, and it will bring a citation.

The fire alarm to The Wave Monday turned out to be false - a child there had pulled the alarm.

Deputies turned over to Whitefish police a Tuesday morning call on West Sixth Street where a woman knocked on the door and screamed. It turned out to be a family member having trouble at home.
