Flathead County sheriff's deputies arrested a 36-year-old man after a report that he was hitting his wife at a building on Harmony Road, where people had been drinking. He was ticketed on suspicion of partner or family member assault.

For the second day in a row, youths were reported in the Happy Valley Park, tearing up the ground with their vehicles. Deputies told them they would be trespassing if they are caught out there again.

A downed tree blocked one lane of traffic on Managhan Lane in Kalispell.

A cat was rescued from the top of a 60-foot tree, after it went missing for a week.

Young people were reported going into and out of a truck and a smoke-filled car. Drug activity was suspected.

A girl doing laundry at The Washboard got stuck inside shortly after 9 p.m. when the door wouldn't open. She was freed.

A woman called from the House of Mystery fishing access off U.S. 2 to say she had just left the Dam Town Tavern and was stuck in the mud. She had enough blankets and dogs to sleep there for the night and planned to call for a tow in the morning.

A fire alarm at the jail was triggered by steam from the showers.

A child reportedly has been lighting fires at the Happy Valley school-bus stop.
