Gloria Gretchen Gregg, 74

Gloria Gretchen Gregg, 74, passed away at her Whitefish residence March 28, 2007. Gloria was born April 9, 1932, in Augusta.

She married James "Jim" Gregg in 1952 in Polson. She worked as a cook and waitress at Gordy's Drive-In and at Frenchy's Chinese Gardens, and then as a housekeeper at North Valley Hospital.

She was devoted to raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. That was her primary job.

She liked cooking and collecting cookbooks and working with ceramics.

She loved to buy shoes and was an avid Seahawks and Mariners fan. She was also an avid Whitefish Bulldogs fan.

In her early years, she was active in the Moose Lodge and was a member of the Bulldog Booster Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a twin infant daughter; sisters, Dorothy Thompson, Fern Kaber, and JoeAnn Wolfe; and brother Lloyd "Pat" Hoffman.

Gloria is survived by her husband, James "Jim," of Whitefish; daughters, Carol Schreibeis and husband, Mark, of Kalispell, and Tracey Schumacher and husband, Trent, of Bozeman; sons, James Johnson and wife, Irene, of Sandpoint, Idaho, Jeff Gregg and Jerry Gregg, both of Whitefish; sister, Betty Sagen, and husband, Bob, of Whitefish; brother, Jim Hoffman, and wife, Linda, of Seattle; grandchildren, Heidi Collingwood and Matt of Belgrade, Jason Schreibeis and Rachel of Kalispell, James Jesse Johnson of Olney, Justin and Gretchen Johnson of Sandpoint, and Caleb and Khanner Schumacher of Bozeman; great-grandchildren, Erika and Jeremy Collingwood, Kayne, Tyrion, and Nakiyah Schreibeis; and numerous other relatives.

Graveside urn burial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday March 31, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
