Kalispell police

Kalispell police have the license plate of a truck that reportedly ran over a cat on Fourth Avenue East deliberately. It was disposed of before the children saw it.

A hapless dog apparently was hit in traffic twice along College Avenue Thursday evening, but the animal warden could not catch it. Friday morning, the same dog was reported injured on North Main and still could not be caught. The owner was notified of the pooch's location.

Checkbook, cash and a check made out to the reporting party were reported stolen from a locked car in the high school parking lot.

A "stolen" freezer was returned after a misunderstanding was cleared up.

A 46-year-old man was arrested for DUI and for buying/possessing stolen property when police checked on welfare on Liberty Street.

While a man was waiting for a cab at the Scoreboard Pub, another man tried to pick a fight. Police arrived. The incident ended in a woman getting a ride home and a man being arrested.

There was a traffic stop at Lawrence Lane, followed by the DUI arrest of a 35-year-old man.

It's unclear just who was arrested after a woman reported her ex-boyfriend punched her in the face and took a $150 money order, but it appeared the woman was.

Internal theft was reported at a business.

Somebody tossed a rock through a parked car's back window. Someone also vandalized a car at Sykes' Pharmacy.

A routine gun check at a pawn shop turned up a report that the firearm was stolen.

Neighbors refused to turn the music down on Third Avenue West.
