Dog owner says pet was abused

Flathead County sheriff's detectives were called by a woman who had left her Evergreen home after an argument with the man there. She returned to pick up her dog, and found it injured. A veterinarian found evidence that the dog had been choked and that it had a broken pelvic bone. She lodged an animal-cruelty complaint.

An Evergreen Junior High student reported a stolen wallet Wednesday. Another reported a stolen bike Thursday.

Five horses in a corral west of Snowslip on U.S. 2 East, beyond West Glacier, looked to one person as if they were not being fed. Deputies, however, found hay available to them.

One sister at a Conrad Drive home accused the other sister of assaulting her.

Someone came to the Blue Moon Nite Club and phoned in a report just before 1:30 a.m. about a male lying on the side of North Hilltop. Deputies said he was waiting for a ride.

A woman in Hungry Horse said somebody broke in through a kitchen window and stole Xbox games, a television and prescription medication. Deputies found no evidence of entry.
