Flathead County sheriff's deputies are investigating two reports of sexual intercourse without consent, both involving teenage girls.

Youths were reported shooting paintballs out of a vehicle at road signs on West Valley Drive. A house on West Springcreek Road also was paintballed.

A 16-year-old boy at the Flathead Attention Home said a reportedly stolen credit card was given to him by somebody else. Deputies are investigating whether the cell phone he had was stolen.

The source of what sounded like two shots from a small-caliber gun heard on South Hilltop Road about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday could not be located.

A man said he was hit in the throat by another man at the Kila Dumpster site.

The second report this week came in about horses with their ribs showing, from a person who suspects animal cruelty or neglect near Nyack Flats.

A report of horses being tied too close to a post on Wettington Road were unfounded, a deputy reported.

A newspaper delivery person reported seeing a mountain lion on Peaceful Drive early Thursday.

The Flathead County Animal Shelter reported somebody stole a black-and-white kitten Wednesday.

Fish and Game officers were called to handle a call about two bear cubs spotted along Montana 83 near the Rocky Mountain Roadhouse outside Ferndale.

A floor jack was reported stolen at the Middle Fork Motel in Martin City.

Somebody broke into a garage and broke fluorescent lights at a home on Bear Trail in Happy Valley.
