Kalispell police investigated an incident witnessed by at least two people outside the Target store Sunday afternoon, where a man reportedly screamed at a 14-year-old and grabbed her by the neck before walking into the store with five children.

The two men who had been drinking refused to leave and told the VFW bar employee to call the cops. The employee obliged. The men left.

A red and white pit bull puppy with white feet was reported stolen Sunday evening from North Meridian.

One vehicle was left smoking after a Chevy Suburban and a truck crashed at the Idaho and Main Street intersection Sunday night.

Fire engulfed a car on one side of Big Sky Manor on Second Avenue West early Monday. The owner planned to let it cool down, then have it towed.

The fire behind King Buffet a bit later in the morning was inside a load of garbage in a garbage truck. They dumped it in the field north of JCPenney, with plans to clear it away later.

Both the building and the Coke machine were worse for the experience after a U-Haul truck backed into the machine Monday morning at Albertson's Express.

Department of Family Service workers called for police after finding drug paraphernalia in an apartment on Liberty Street.
