Kalispell police got a call just before 6:30 Tuesday, letting them know that a male was heading out for a "gun battle" at a home on the west side of town. He said he was going to open fire on a drug house. Officers kept a close eye on the area after school, but all remained quiet by mid-afternoon.

When checking backgrounds of the bystanders at the scene of Monday evening's robbery at Woodland Qwik Stop, they found a 38-year-old man who had violated his probation terms. He was arrested.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for felony intimidation after he reportedly called a doctor at Northwest Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, saying he wanted his cast removed and letting the doctor know he had a gun in his car. The cast came off and he got charged - and not just for the medical bill.

An emergency room worker called police to let them know they had just treated the third bite victim of the same dog earlier in the day. The victim and mother had left the hospital by then, but did talk with the animal warden.
