Not 'mother of the year' material

Flathead County sheriff's deputies contacted Department of Family Services after a wet-diapered, bare-footed, 2-year-old girl was found in the roadway on Whalebone Drive. The mother pulled up and said it was her child, and that the situation posed no problem. Officials from the sheriff's office disagreed.
