A heart condition and a seizure disorder may have contributed to the drowning death of a 3-year-old boy, according to Flathead County coroners.

Caleb Connors of Columbia Falls was found Saturday evening floating face-down in a bathtub at his grandmother's West Glacier home.

He reportedly was being bathed in about a foot of water and had been left unattended for only a short period of time.

Connors was taken by air ambulance to Kalispell Regional Medical Center and then to Community Medical Center in Missoula, where he was taken off life support and died Sunday.

An autopsy performed Sunday at the state crime lab determined the primary cause of death was drowning.

Whether a heart condition, found only during the autopsy, and the seizure disorder contributed to the boy's death remained unconfirmed Monday.

Connors' death has been ruled an accident, coroners said.

The investigation by the Flathead County Sheriff's Office continues.
