Kalob Michael Connors, 3, "was suddenly taken from his beloved family" on Nov. 11, 2007, at Community Medical Center in Missoula.

Kalob "came into our world strutting directly into our hearts" on April 8, 2004, to Michael Connors and Brandy Klein.

Kalob was a comedian with the world as his audience. He loved his family and family parties. Cars, monster trucks and anything with wheels were passion of Kalob's. When Kalob heard an alarm sound he always asked, "Daddy, are you going to help someone?", as his dad is a volunteer firefighter.

His love of baseball brought out his neighbors to watch his "batting practice," where he nearly never missed the ball and often hit one over the house. He spent much time outdoors hunting, fishing and swimming at the pool.

He attended Plum Tree Day Care for his first year of preschool, which he loved and was so proud of the work he brought home. He had a great love for learning.

Kalob was preceded in death by cousin, Logan Hewitt, "who now has a playmate."

Survivors include his parents, Michael Connors and Brandy Klein; grandparents, Dan and Sherie Shewalter, Andy and Diane Klein, Lorrie Kao-Allen, Garth Allen, and Don and Becky Connors; great-grandparents, Lennard and Bea McBurney, Judy and Roy Sindon, Jack Klein, John and Mitzi Pemberton, Jim and Ellen Womack, and Stan and Doris Connors; uncles, Tony Shewalter, Braxton Shewalter and Levi Shewalter, Tom Krissie and Ryan Foust; aunts, Michelle Shewalter, Jami Shewalter, Dawn Foust, Christy Krissie and Amber Krueger; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and adopted papas and grandmas.

"Our sweet little man is now in heaven. Always full of personality with a twinkle in his eyes. He will always be in our hearts, never forgotten and forever young. In a world with so much wrong, Kalob was everything so right."

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 15, and from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. A celebration of Kalob's life will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at East Haven Baptist Church, 2010 Whitefish Stage Road in Kalispell, with Rev. Scott Keller of the Aletheia Christian Fellowship officiating. A fire truck will give Kalob his final ride to Woodlawn Cemetery after services.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Kalob Connors memorial fund, Whitefish Credit Union, P.O. Box 1322, Columbia Falls, MT 59912 and/or Canyon Quick Response Unit of Coram, West Glacier Fire Department, Evergreen Fire Department or ALERT.
