Robert James Hunt, 63

Robert James Hunt, 63, of Kalispell, 'left us for a better place' on Nov. 20, 2007, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center with his wife, Barbara, at his side.

Bob was born June 27, 1944, to James and Alice (Krogh) Hunt in Crookston, Minn. In 1952, Bob moved with his family to Kalispell, were he received his education, graduating from Flathead County High School in 1962. On June 24, 1980, Bob married Barbara Brabender in Kalispell.

Bob was a lifetime member of the NRA and an avid reader. He spent many enjoyable hours working on guns, gardening, puttering in his shop and working around the mountain home that he loved. You often could find Bob sitting on the deck watching the birds and squirrels that he would feed sunflower seeds to daily.

Bob was a master electrician and a member of the IBEW local 768 before retiring in July 2006. He worked construction all of his working life, working in the North Pole and the South Pole and many points in between.

Bob was proceeded in death by his dad, James, in 1996.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Barbara, of their home in Kalispell; his children and their spouses, Elizabeth Peterson and her husband, Court, of Idaho, Larry Hunt and his wife, Angie, of Washington, Charlene Mead and her husband, Scott, of Oregon, Robert Hunt and his wife, Cheryl, of Oregon, and Niki Kerzman and her husband, Ryan, of Montana. He also is survived by his mother, Alice Hunt; his sisters, Bonnie Sisson, Sharon Howard and her husband, Gary, and Jeri Hunt, all of Montana; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the Johnson Mortuary chapel in Kalispell. There will be a potluck reception at the Country Kitchen at the Flathead County Fair Grounds after the service.
