Stillwater spikers pick up 3 more wins; FV Home School triumphs

HELENA - Stillwater Christian School pushed its MCAA record to 8-0 and moved to 18-1 overall by notching three victories over the weekend.

Stillwater outlasted Yellowstone County Home School 25-17, 13-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-10 Saturday afternoon.

Portia Elletson and Julia Bray shared the SCS kill lead with nine apiece.

In a Saturday morning match, Stillwater downed Helena Home School 25-5, 25-7, 25-5.

On Friday, Stillwater stopped Helena Christian School 25-13, 25-18, 25-9.

"Against Yellowstone, Nichole Danz stepped up and served extremely well after we found ourselves down two games to one," said SCS coach Dave Shawback.

"Nichole served 11 points in game four and the first seven points of game five to help lead us to the win."

Danz had 10 of Stillwater's 17 aces in that match.

Stillwater returns to action Friday, 7 p.m., hosting Flathead Valley Home School.

COEUR d' ALENE, Idaho - Flathead Valley Home School defeated North Idaho Christian School 25-19, 13-24, 25-23, 24-26, 15-9 on Saturday.

The Lady Crusaders, 11-3, were led by Danae Sheeran, 11 kills and 10 aces, and Jenna Sladek, seven kills, three digs and three aces.

Lauren Callan had six kills and two blocks.

Flathead Valley Home School plays at Stillwater Christian School on Friday, 7 p.m.
