Sentinel bumps Glacier

Emilee Hashley had 13 kills and six blocks, but the Glacier Wolfpack fell in Western AA volleyball action Friday.

Visiting Missoula Sentinel downed the Wolfpack (1-12) 24-26, 25-19 25-17, 25-22.

Jennifer Keddy led the Spartans with 18 kills and two blocks.

"They are aggressive," Glacier coach Christy Harkins said of Sentinel. "(Keddy) is a very talented player and when they can get the ball to her, they can win," she said.

Harkins was pleased with Hashley's play.

"Coming off a rough night Thursday, she played very well. It was nice to see her rebound," the coach said.

Other leaders for the Wolfpack were Lindsea Vaudt with 25 assists and Chaela Liss with 15 digs.

Stillwater Christian School prevailed in a battle with rival Flathead Valley Home School, defeating the Lady Crusaders 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-21 in a Montana Christian Athletic Association match.

Stillwater ends conference play with an 8-0 mark, 19-1 overall. FVHS is now 3-3 and 11-4.

Portia Elletson finished with 15 kills, 15 digs and four aces to pace SCS.

Danae Sheeran had 10 kills and three aces and Jenna Sladek eight kills and 15 digs for FVHS.

BIGFORK - Alyssa Ladenburg turned in 11 kills and 11 digs as the Columbia Falls Wildkats downed host Bigfork in a Northwestern A volleyball battle.

Alyssa Fierro led Bigfork (3-4) with 17 kills, seven blocks and five service aces.

Scores were 25-20, 26-24, 13-25, 19-25, 16-14.

Other leaders for Columbia Falls (3-5) were Sarah Marcille with 24 assists, Shiloh Knudsen with three blocks and Sam Ladenburg with three aces.

Other leaders for Bigfork were Ashlee Gordon with 33 assists and Avery Vogel with 19 digs.

"It was fun to watch," said Bigfork coach Kelsey Jensen.

"We started out slow, coming out of the locker room, but we really turned it around. The fifth game was an all-out battle. Columbia Falls came out to play tonight. They were ready to go and they played more aggressively than we did. They hustled after everything and played with 100 percent intensity every second.

"We did a lot of good things out there," Jensen added. "We just had some mental mistakes, missed some serves," Jensen said.
