Linda Marie deYong, 60

Native Flathead Valley resident, Linda Marie deYong, 60, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at St. Peter's Hospital in Helena. 'She left this world to join her oldest daughter, Marci Polansky,' who passed away Dec. 4, 2006, just 10 short months ago.

Linda was born April 6, 1947, in Kalispell, to John and Eunice deYong. She attended grade school at Egan Elementary and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1965.

On Aug. 6, 1966, she wed Robert D. Lee and was married to him for 28 years.

Linda was employed by various establishments throughout the Flathead Valley including Kalispell Mercantile, the Montana State Employment Service, First Presbyterian Church, S & S Camper, the Outlaw Inn and Semitool.

Linda was proud of her heritage and enjoyed being a country girl. She loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed spending countless hours in her yard watching the deer, the birds, and tending her flowers.

She gained such pleasure in giving her grandchildren the 'country experiences' such as nature walks in the woods, sledding, feeding the ducks and going to see the horses.

Linda will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and all who knew her, will miss her kindness, her attention to detail, her endless curiosity and her sense of fun and adventure.

In addition to her daughter Marci, she was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eunice deYong. Following their deaths, Linda then moved to the family farm in the Fairmont-Egan community where she resided until her death.

She is survived by her daughter, Jami Johnson, and husband, Scot, of Goodyear, Ariz.; sister, Ronda Huggins, of Roseville, Calif.; son-in-law, Dave Polansky, of Kalispell; and four grandchildren, Bryar and Braedyn Polansky, and Kyra and Trevor Johnson. She is also survived by her 'cowboy companion' Alan Quimby of Kalispell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, at Central Bible Church in Kalispell with Pastor Ron Youde officiating. Burial will follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
