Marilyn Minikus, 72

Marilyn Minikus, 72, passed away Sept. 27, 2007, in Salt Lake City after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Marilyn Ann Hummel on April 27, 1935, in Missoula to Lyle and Frieda Hummel, who preceded her in death.

She graduated from Flathead County High School in the class of 1953.

She was married to Rollo 'Jack' Jermyn, with whom she has two sons, Bruce and Craig. They were later divorced. She later married Darrold 'Whitey' Minikus. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by sons, Bruce and wife, Karen, and four stepchildren, all of Salt Lake City, and Craig and wife, Debbie; two grandchildren, Heather and Tom Jermyn, of Moses Lake; two sisters, Shirley Heil and Laurel Powell, of Kalispell; two brothers, Lyle of Ellensberg, Wash., and Jon of Lyons, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place, and burial will be at Glacier Memorial Gardens. There will be graveside services at 2 p.m. Oct. 18.
