Janette Thompson, 70

Janette Thompson, 70, passed away Sept. 29, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. She was born Jan. 20, 1937, in Great Falls, to James and Cecil (Mock) Dykeman.

She married Robert Thompson on Nov. 3, 1965, in Great Falls.

While in Great Falls, Janette became involved with the Methodist Church. She also belonged to the VFW, Cooteiats and 4-H Club.

She moved to Kalispell in the early 1980s.

Janette was a people person and enjoyed singing, visiting, collecting porcelain dolls, and being outdoors. She had a reputation for bringing home animals and small pets which had always been a part of her life.

Primarily a homemaker, Janette had worked for World Wide Press making punch boards while living in Great Falls.

Janette was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1999; parents, James and Cecil Dykeman; stepfather, Steve Rozick; sisters, Barbara Kline and Ethelyn Vieria; a daughter, Dawn Renee Thompson; and a half son, Robert Calvert Thompson.

Janette is survived by her children, MerryBelle Tyler of Kalispell, William Thompson and Christi of Great Falls, Bert Thompson and Jodi , also of Great Falls, Roberta Lind and Timothy of Honolulu, Daniel Thompson and JoAnn of Kalispell; siblings, Erma Hall of Great Falls, James A. Dykeman Jr. of Cave Junction, Ore., Sharon Trowbridge and Jerry of Darby, Robert Frank Dykeman and Bertha of Great Falls, Carol Sue Tailman, also of Great Falls, and Diana Sunblad and Glen, Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
