Libby rolls over Bigfork; Polson blanks Ronan

LIBBY - Quarterback Joel Fuller ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as Libby cruised by winless Bigfork 56-0 Friday in the Northwestern A football finale for both teams.

Fuller completed 12 of 21 passes for 288 yards. He also had 28 yards rushing on six carries.

His TD runs covered 3 and 5 yards.

Fuller hit Zack Rowan on a 15-yard TD strike.

Loren Nelson turned in two big plays for the Loggers. He returned a punt 62 yards for a touchdown and took an interception six yards for another TD.

Nelson led the Loggers in receiving with six receptions for 114 yards. His long was 31 yards.

Jeremy Chumley had 71 yards rushing on 10 carries and scored one touchdown.

Libby finished 5-0 in league games and 8-1 overall.

Bigfork's season ends at 0-4 and 0-8.

Libby has a first-round bye in the Class A playoffs, which begin next Saturday.

POLSON - Polson missed out on the playoffs but finished its season in style, blanking Ronan in a Northwestern A game.

Craig Bagnell passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as the Pirates evened their overall record at 4-4 while securing fourth place in conference with a 2-3 mark.

John Rausch's 5-yard touchdown reception put Polson up 7-0 in the first quarter before Cody Doyle added a 1-yard scoring run and a 36-yard touchdown reception to give the Pirates a 21-0 halftime lead.

Bagnell was Polson's leading rusher with 78 yards on eight carries, including a 19-yard touchdown scamper that capped the scoring in the third quarter. He completed nine of 17 passes for 97 yards, including three for 60 yards to Doyle and four for 24 to Rausch.

The Chiefs finished their season with a 1-7 record, including 1-4 in conference, despite 37 rushing yards from Nick Courville and 24 receiving yards from Adam Skogen.
