Jean M. Payne, 88

Jean M. Payne, 88, of Kalispell, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at the Brendan House in Kalispell. She has left behind a loving family and numerous friends, which will share her memories.

She was preceded in death by her husband Doug; her parents; twin brother, Jake; sister, Betty; and granddaughter, Patricia.

Jane was born in Kalispell on April 21, 1919, to Jake and Eva Nelson. She worked for Anderson Style Shop and Harmon's for 42 years. She spent her entire life in the Flathead Valley.

Upon her retirement, Jean and Doug wintered in California and spent the summers in the beautiful Flathead Valley.

Jean's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is survived by daughters, Jean Hissong and husband Chuck, their sons, Doug and wife Rebecca, and Charlie and wife Christina; and Katie Armstrong and husband David, and their sons, David and wife Nellie, Chad and wife Gina, and daughter Amy and husband Kelly; and son, Douglas Payne, and wife Stevi, and son Brian and daughter Kristien. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law and special friend, Lucy Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services will be held at her request.
