Lynn Gembala, 47

Lynn Gembala, 47, of Ferndale, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. She was born on June 7, 1960, in Kalispell, the daughter of Calvin Arthur and 'Bunny' (Talbot) Louden.

She was raised in the Lower Valley community south of Kalispell and attended grade school at Hodgson Grade School and Flathead High School, graduating in 1978.

She attended and graduated from Montana State University with a degree in microbiology. She later attended medical training in Boise, Idaho.

On June 27, 1987, she was united in marriage to Rick Gembala in Lower Valley.

She was an avid quilter and also attended many quilting shows. She enjoyed sewing and made many baby blankets for many of her friends and family. She also collected dolls, enjoyed baking and being outdoors. She loved to garden and grow flowers.

She loved animals and visiting with the elderly and listening to their stories.

She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Louden, in 1998.

She is survived by her husband and children, Rick Gembala, Amy and Jake Gembala of Ferndale; her mother, Bunny Louden, of Lower Valley; brother, Allan Louden, of Winston Salem, N.C.; brother, Ben Louden, and wife, Maureen, of Lower Valley; a sister, Ann Parker, and husband, Terry, of Baton Rouge, La.; her mother- and father-in-law, Clarence and Betty Gembala, of Ferndale; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services for Lynn will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Little Brown Church in Bigfork, with Pastor Ron Pierce officiating.
