Grenade turns out to be a dud

A hand grenade, without the pin, was found at the county landfill. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded and determined the grenade was a dud. The explosives had been drilled out.

Springcreek Road was closed between Two Mile and Three Mile drives due to a sinkhole.

A baby was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with what looked like a knife wound in the leg. The cut required seven stitches. Investigators later determined the culprit was a spring in a hide-a-bed couch. There was nothing criminal.
