BROWNING - Mitchell Wassam threw a pair of touchdown passes and Mackey Nolan returned an interception 39 yards for a score as Columbia Falls crushed Browning 42-7 Friday in Class A nonconference football play.

Columbia Falls, 1-0, led 28-7 at the half.

"I just thought with all the changes we made on offense, the kids did a nice job," said Columbia Falls coach John Thompson.

"They adapted. They really, really executed well."

BIGFORK - Hamilton scored early, and often, in thumping Bigfork.

"We only had 14 players tonight battling 40 (for Hamilton)," said first-year coach Bruce Corbett.

"We moved the ball at times."

It was the season opener for Bigfork.

Corbett said five ineligible players will be back in the lineup next week.
