That dog was wearing musk

A woman on Zimmerman Road heard something strange in her yard, then heard her dog run off to chase it. The dog came back sprayed with some chemical and looked as if it were foaming at the mouth.

Believing someone lurking in the yard had sprayed her dog, the woman called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office for help. When a deputy arrived, he discovered the dog had indeed been sprayed by a prowler in the yard - a skunk.

A vehicle was stolen on Vonderheide Lane.

A deputy advised people on Bragg Lane to extinguish their small campfire.

When a girl said her boyfriend pulled a gun on her, a deputy notified the proper adults.

Parents on Dogwood Avenue came home to find their daughter's ex-boyfriend hiding in the house. He fled on foot. Deputies advised them to get a restraining order.

A property owner on Holt Stage Road said the people who'd just vacated the residence owed him money, so he was holding some of their belongings ransom until they paid. A deputy counseled everyone and told the property owner to give the former residents their belongings.

A caller from Washington said friends in Montana told him there was a dead body west of Kalispell. Deputies searched the address the caller gave, then everywhere else they could think of, but didn't find a corpse. They also were unable to contact the Montanans who'd told the Washington caller about the body.

Someone stole a sign from a Bigfork casino.

A vehicle reported stolen out of Great Falls turned up at a Kalispell wrecking company. Deputies recovered more stolen property inside.

The fire alarm on Rhodes Draw was triggered by burnt food.

Someone found drug paraphernalia on the mailboxes in a Bigfork trailer park.
