Leonard Lee Sauerbier, 72

Leonard Lee Sauerbier, 72, of Kalispell passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, while visiting friends. He had been fighting emphysema, and heart and lung problems for the past 10 years. The cause of death was due to a massive heart attack.

He was born June 28, 1935, in Kalispell to Leonard John and Minnie (Mayer) Sauerbier.

Lee was a lifetime Flathead native. He went to Evergreen Grade School and attended Flathead County High School. He had owned and operated Valley Tree Service since 1965. He and his wife, Gloria, were living in Kila.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Leonard John Sauerbier.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Sauerbier, of Kila; his children, Gregg and Dawn, both of Spokane, Wash.; and his sister, Luella, of California; and numerous grandchildren.

Graveside services for Lee will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Glacier Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Glenn Burfeind officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Johnson Mortuary.
