Flathead County sheriff

A person kicked out of a motel and RV park on Shady Lane threatened to return the next day, ostensibly to cause problems. The establishment's owner notified Flathead County sheriff's deputies of the potential disturbance.

A purse was either lost or stolen at a grocery store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Deputies counseled a man and woman arguing loudly at a bar in Bigfork.

A Grouse Ridge Road woman said she received a suspicious message on her answering machine.

Deputies separated for the night a couple fighting on First Street South East in Hungry Horse.

A resident of an apartment complex on Monte Vista Way outside Columbia Falls called deputies after hearing yelling and a thump in a neighboring unit. The unit's occupant and his son, who deputies think were fighting, were gone when authorities arrived.

Deputies broke up another verbal disturbance at a second Bigfork bar.

An argument over some parenting issues drew deputies to a Conrad Drive residence.

Someone was reported for theft after leaving the Flathead County dump without paying their fee.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Smith Lake Road. Turns out it belonged to someone visiting a friend, who lives just up the road.

Teachers found three suspicious notes written by students at a Somers school.

Deputies received a call from a Washington state resident, who said she heard yelling and breaking glass while she was on the phone with an Angel Point Road friend.

Some delinquent carved the letters "K" and "J" on a bench at the juvenile detention center. The letters were surrounded by a heart.

Kalispell police

A Fifth Avenue West man, who had been drinking, called Kalispell police twice mumbling about something obscene and then hung up.

Money was stolen from a purse left at a Second Avenue West business.

A man came into the police station and told officers he was followed there by another man, who was outside yelling at his friend.

A man with a bike, spotted sleeping outside a Hutton Ranch Plaza restaurant, was gone when officers arrived.

Officers arrested a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, and for having an open container after she was involved in a crash on Third Avenue East.

A father and son seen fighting on Sixth Avenue West were separated.

A Parkway Drive resident reported receiving threatening phone calls and observed the same car suspiciously driving past the house.

Officers arrested a 44-year-old man at a convenience store on U.S. 93 South on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, on a suspended license, and without insurance.

Three men were seen fighting in front of an office building on North Meridian Road. The verbal fisticuffs started as an argument between a man and his nephew.

An iPod was stolen from a car on Fourth Avenue West, and two silver dollars were stolen from a car on Fifth Avenue West.

Four mailboxes were damaged on Third Avenue East. A woman later was arrested in connection to the incident.

A 9 mm pistol, movies, and some other items were stolen from a home on North Meridian Road.

Officers came across a man breaking fluorescent lights behind an East Idaho Street restaurant. The man said they were broken when he got there.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of partner assault and obstructing an officer after responding to a disturbance on Second Street West. The woman involved was taken to North Valley Hospital.

Second Street East residents reported a suspicious pipe in their front yard.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of family member assault after being called to a Beth Road residence.

Officers arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop on U.S. 2.

A theft was reported at the Columbia Falls High School.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to the intersection of Springcreek and Mountain View drives, where a pedestrian was sideswiped by a passing vehicle. The patient was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with chest and arm pain.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to an accident in a Third Avenue East North parking lot. A woman was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with back pain.

The department also responded to Fourth Avenue West, where a resident was burning tree limbs in a 50-gallon drum.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a smoke-filled convenience store on U.S. 2 and Montana 40. A small electrical fire was extinguished.

The Somers Fire Department was paged out to a controlled burn at the waterfowl preserve on Montana 82.

The Smith Valley Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department extinguished a grass fire on U.S. 2.
